Pathways Classification

The author of the systematization of the channel is a group of prof. R. C. Wade. These are channels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, solvation and the water canal.

Channel PW1
The output of C, C 'helix and H (or L) helix, closes at G/H loop, β2-sheet.

Channel PW2
PW2 channel class is further divided into six subclasses: 2a, 2b, 2c, 2ac, 2d, 2f.
Channel 2a: output between F/G loop, B/C loop and the β1-sheet. (In the vicinity of the channels are 2d and 2f).
Channel 2b: output between the B/C loop and the β1, β3-sheet. (Very frequent occurrence in the structures.)
Channel 2c : output between G and I helices B/C loop.
Channel 2ac: output among the top B/C loop and G helix, vmezeřen channels between 2c and 2a.
Channel 2e: output passed through B/C loop.
Channel 2d output between the N-terminus and helices A, A '.
Channel 2f: output between F/G loop and the β5-sheet.

Channel PW3
Output at the E/F loop and vmezeřen between helices F and G.

Channel PW4
Passed through output F/G loop.

Channel PW5
Output between helices K and K '.

Channel S (solvation)
The output of the E, F and I helices, β5-sheet. It is used for transport of water molecules.

Channel W (water)
Output at the foot of B/C loop near the C-terminus and helix B. The role is not clear. There are two hypotheses - the first road on the final product, the other on the hydration of the active site. [6]
